How are you doing after the lovely bank holiday weekend? I hope you had a good one! Sorry for not posting in a little while, despite my ‘organisation post’, I’m still not doing a very good job at keeping on top of things… Oops! Anway, I am back and the theme of today’s post is the Sunshine blogger Award. The lovely Shannen Claire was kind enough to nominate me for this, for which I am so grateful! Do go and check out her page, I’ve been really enjoying seeing her cheerful posts on Twitter and Instagram since we’ve been following each other. She’s so lovely!
If you haven’t heard of this before, then I have pasted the rules below. I get to answer 11 questions given to me by Shannen, and then create 11 questions to my 11 nominations (below!).
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
- Answer their eleven questions.
- Nominate eleven bloggers and pose eleven questions.
- Let the people you nominated know that they’ve been nominated.
- List these rules and display the logo on your post.
1.What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging is being able to write about whatever is on my mind, without having to feel self-conscious about what people think. It gives me a platform to be able to express myself, which I don’t feel I can do in other settings. Plus I really love the connections you make with other bloggers. It really is lovely when you get a little community!!
2.What’s your next goal?
I’m not really sure what my next goal is. I suppose because I’ve just started doing more fashion blogging, I would really like to see where it takes me. I used to (and still am) really shy about doing outfit shots, so I’d like to be more confident in that and in my styling!
3.Are you an organiser or someone who goes with the flow?
So, I’d say I am a bit of both. Which can be a bit stressful at times! I’m not very good at being spontaneous, and my brain works much better when I’m being organised… On the other hand, I’m not actually very good at planning my weeks. (As discussed in one of my recent posts! Organisation – I need to get round to it.
Recently, I’ve been getting really into interesting t-shirts. I used to be quite boring in my fashion style and would not know how to work a t-shirt into a stylish outfit! I think since blogging and being inspired by other fashion styles, it’s become a real favourite of mine. I always keep an eye out for a quirky or funny tee these days!
5.Where would you love to visit next?
My absolute favourite country to visit is Italy. I would love to be able to visit there more often! If I have to pick anywhere else though, I would say Germany. I’m trying to learn a little bit of the language as my Nan is German, so I would love to be able to have a conversation with her. This is on my non-existent bucket list..!
6.When you go to a cafe, what do you order?
This is an easy one.. Definitely a Chai Latte!
A few years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to give an answer to this. I hadn’t ever read a particularly memorable book that I could class as my favourite, until I read ‘Me Before You’. This is by far the most emotional and moving book I have ever read, and I have not forgotten it since! I was nearly at the end and couldn’t resist reading until the early hours of the morning just because I wanted to know what happened. If you’ve not read it, then please do!!
8.What’s on your favourite playlist?
Well the only playlist I have on my phone is a ‘Disney’ playlist. That says it all really! To add to that, I would include anything musical theatre related, maybe a bit of Mamma Mia…
9.What’s the one T.V show you can’t stop watching?
For the past month or so, I have been glued to Lost! I’ve never seen it before, but my parents watched it and said I would love it. I really do! A lot of people have mixed reviews on it, but I think it is so clever. Another one I loved was Once Upon a Time. I was so sad when it was all over :'(
10.Where do you see your blog in five years?
To be perfectly honest, in the past I would have never been able to sustain something like this for longer than 1 month or so. I am quite a phase-y person and move onto the next thing quite easily. I feel like this is different though, and I’m really enjoying writing this blog. I’d love to grow it more and more, and actually work on being a completely ‘cruelty-free’ blog or something.
11.Dream place to live?
Hmm… Well that’s a hard one. As mentioned before, I really love Italy, so if I couldn’t live where I live now, then I think I would pick there. Wouldn’t it be nice to have sunshine nearly all the time! I’d love to pick up the language and make a really good go of learning it, which I think you would do if you lived there.
So that’s the end of my question time! Now it is my turn to nominate 11 bloggers to do this post as well and share the love! Thank you again to the fabulous Shannen Claire for nominating me. I really do appreciate it!
