Easter Weekend

Hello!

How are you doing today? As you are well aware, it is the Easter bank holiday weekend, which is lovely! I thought I’d do a quick post to wish you all a lovely break.

I’ve not got the whole weekend off as I am working Saturday (today). I’m sure a lot of you have a similar situation, especially if you work in retail! I feel for you…

Plans…

I wondeBlossom tree Knightshayesr what you have planned? Or are you just taking each day as it comes? I’m spending the time with my family which I’m really happy about. Family time is so important to me and so I really value these bonus times together!

We decided to visit a nearby National Trust property yesterday, called Knightshayes. Have any of you been there before? It’s such a gorgeous property and has the most amazing grounds! Trust me, I couldn’t resist taking hundreds of photos of all the pretty flowers! 🌷

It was really packed as I would have expected, and it was just so nice to see everyone doing their own thing, enjoying the sunshine. It did occur to me that people would have been enjoying the same gardens and grounds hundreds of years ago. And here was little old me looking at in 2019… It’s crazy and a little bit scary to think of how places/landscapes last for centuries and so many generations see it year after year and life goes on. In 100 years time will it still be there and have people thinking the same thing!?

We enjoyed a LOT of food (isn’t that what bank holidays are for!?) and a nice cold gin and tonic in the evening and watched loads of TV. That is literally my ideal evening! I’m not sure what I’ve got planned for the rest of the weekend, but will enjoy it whatever.

Let me know if you’ve had to go into work today too, or if you had a nice run of 4 days off! In more serious news, I’m really trying to start to think about doing something constructive. I think I might do a separate post on this, but I’m planning to do an open university type thing. More details to follow.

Have a lovely rest of the weekend, and happy Easter! It is a fantastic time to be celebrating because Jesus died for us and that’s just so great to put it plainly! Have you thought much about the reason behind Easter? I’d love to hear about your faith and family traditions around this time.

P.s. Here is a cute photo of my doggy that I was so pleased to be able to see more of!
